He echoed the message on December 18, 2024 at the Parcour Vita in Douala 5 subdivision currently hosting the event grouping small scale farmers and producers of agriculture products, by the Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises, Social Economy and Crafts Achille Bassilekin III,at the first edition of the region’s cooperative market. The meeting results from the dynamics of structuring the actors of the Social and Solidarity Economy into Local, Departmental, Regional and National Networks of the Social Economy (RELES, REDES, RERES and RENES). Indeed, the market highlights the action of Networks in the development and promotion of collective entrepreneurship.

The Regional Network of the Social and Solidarity Economy of the Littoral is at the initiative of this edition after Akonolinga, Yaoundé and Ebolowa. It aims for direct sales between producers and consumers without intermediaries, thus allowing the application of the right price while meeting demanding social and environmental criteria. A real tool for territorial development, the Cooperative Market places emphasis on the transformation of what we produce in order to build value chains of choice, essential levers for import/substitution.
