DIASPORANS DRUM FOR AN ENABLING BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT BACK HOME.
A recent statistics shows that, the diaspora contributes about 10% to the GDP of every African country and aspirations are high,it could double in the next 2 years should African governments creat a more conducive business environment to attract diasporans.
It is against this backdrop,the 1st annual symposium of Naija diaspora magazine saw the light of day with theme « Diaspora and nation building challenges, opportunities and prospect » held in Douala on November 17,2023 grouping diasporans from Nigeria and Cameroon to discuss how could meaningfully contribute to the growth of both economies and convince their peers to join them in the train who have been discouraged all this years to come back home and invest because of the huge amount of taxes demanded, bureaucratic procedures as well as corruption.
