In what has been adopted as a yearly tradition by the municipal officials of the Douala III council to commune with the less privilege of her municipality every Christmas period,has been once again respected by the councilors this 2024 headed by mayor Valentine Epoupa Bossambo.The 2024 edition of the Christmas party which held on Monday December 23,2024 at the zen resort park of the council premises,was a crowd puller with a special touch of the exercise to have invited 50 sickle cell carriers, orphans as well as children of some council staff.
According to Mr.Youmbi Stephane a municipal police staff whose child was a beneficiary expressed gratitude to the officials for the kind gesture and brilliant initiative this year,to have requested the inclusion of children from council staff.It was a similar viewpoint shared by madame Eteki Suzanne head of a sickle cell association.
Meanwhile addressing the beneficiaries,mayor Valentine Epoupa Bossambo saluted the massive turnout of the population at the event and assured the population of the council’s unflinching social corporate responsibility in touching the lives of the population.The huge consignment of gift which comprised of educative tolls translated the reason behind the smiling faces as they retire home to have an electrifying 2024,festive season.
