It will be the first edition of the food and well-being fair in the city of Douala with theme « A healthy and balanced diet for everyone »which seeks to promote quality life style through free education and sensitization of the common Cameroonians.
Announcing the upcoming event during a press conference on November 21, the vision bearer of the initiative Ingrid Ngoune said, people should learn to cultivate the habit of making food serve as a medicine given it’s pivotal role it plays physically, mentally and emotionally.With the advent of industrialization, food processing and diversification of choices in our markets as well as the increasing prevalence of metabolic diseases, awareness is been needed to edify consumers on what they eat since there is the growing trend of organic products in our local market.
However,poor diet intake do lead to the development of metabolic diseases such as diabetes, obesity as well as an increase to risk mental illness, anxiety and depression.Thus, the 3 day event will therefore be a perfect avenue to help clear the air on the need for quality diet rich in fiber and nutrients to maintain good health.Mme Vanissa Dibebe a fitness coach in her presentation during the more than 2 hours exchange, enlightened the press on the need for Cameroonians to adopt a healthy life style.Make no mistake therefore misout the December 7 to 9 conclave,to keep yourself informed on how to prevent metabolic diseases from food consumption and maintaining a healthy life style.
