It was a highly anticipated platform coming after a month in Yaounde grouping stakeholders involved in the chain dealing with land related issues within the littoral region on how, they could collectively propose a way-out from the bone of contention that has greatly affected many, for several decades now .
The Dikolo gate as it is termed is one of the many eviction cases still very fresh in the minds of Douala denizens alongside the many court cases around the country especially in the towns of Buea, Yaounde,Bertoua just to name this few .Worst of it all,is having close to ten persons with land titles on a singular piece of land . Conscious on how delicate land related issues are , the government of cameroon through the lower house of Parliament is strategizing on how they could lay the issue to rest before things turn soar.

Stem from this, members of the parliamentary network of Assurance and bank converged on Douala October 29 headed by Hon.Djeumeni Benilde to discuss and carve out a well structured plan on land reform in the country.Participants at the Douala consultative meeting were drafted from the civil society, real estate and notary who all in one voice, lamented on the outdated law of 1973 concerning the establishment of land certificates.
From Hon.Manju Nestus Fru and down to Hon.Koupit Adamu,it is time for Cameroonians from different works of life to enjoy their right of ownership and eradicate intercommunity brouhaha on land issues as well.Proposals collected in Douala and Yaounde will therefore be presented during the November session of Parliament, with the hope of finally putting to an end to the fake land title certificate in the country.
