Launching the commemorative activity for the 5 day event this November 21 to end on November 25,the women friendship association of Deido (AFED) seeks to jealously protect their cultural heritage for the sake of posterity.

After 2017 and 2019 , the women friendship association of Deido took a break as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and decided to to bounce back in great form this year thanks to special support from the Douala city council to accompany the association help valorize the traditional  attire for the people of the coastal regions.

Leonide Michelle Ndome Moukoko 3rd deputy city mayor of Douala who chaired the start of the event, expressed gratitude to the vision bearers of the project in protecting their cultural heritage with designs of different sorts.

Meanwhile, launching the event Tuesday November 21 at salle de fete Akwa,a round table conference ,press briefing,expose on the sale of different traditional attires from sandja,kaba and many others are on a display awaiting visitors to come calling.Day 2 on November 22,shall dedicated to tree planting dubbed ecology day with 3 public schools to benefit from the scheme in Deido, NewBell Nylon and Logbessou.Day 3 on November 23 shall take another twist with Ndole on the menu to savor which is the traditional delicacy of the sawa people.Day 4 on November 24,a public parade from Rue Charly in Deido down to Besseke shall animate the day to showcase the treasure and pride kaba attire commands.Day 5 on November 25 which is the last day,a gala night with partners has been programmed already to provide room for both parties to discuss and make projection for next year while wineing and dining.

Nevertheless, according to madam Elise Dalle Elolongue president of AFED and promoter of Kab’attitude while talking to the press, expressed her gratitude to partners from designers to sponsors for accepting her vision in patronizing the sawa cultural identity.

The dice has therefore being cast for the sons and daughters of the sawa land to join ,the moving train.
